After about 2 years we are back in the city for a one-off concert, in view to an extended tour in September. The amazing Athina Kontodima will be our main singer for this show. Panos Skouteris will be joining us as a special guest. He is one of the best clarinet players of the young generation in Greece. Except from an extremely versatile player he is also a great singer. The core band will be Nikos Kyrios on violin, Spiros Bolovinis on bouzouki, Kostas Kopanaris on percussion and Pavlos Melas on guitar. It will be a program full of tradition with a strong touch of urban Rebetika. ]]><![CDATA[September 06th, 2019]]>Fri, 06 Sep 2019 12:10:28 GMThttps://www.kourelou.co.uk/news/september-06th-2019On August 31st Kourelou and the London Greek collective performed in a private event at Muddifords Court Country House in Devon. The five piece band covered songs and instrumental tunes from mainland Greece and Cyprus. The instruments were: Bouzouki, Guitar, Violin, Percussion and female vocals.

The performance went exceptionally well and the comments received were:

"....Just wanted to say a huge thank you. It was amazing! Everyone loved it. Thank you for the 'gatecrash' idea it was a perfect way to start. The dancing outside was amazing & made George's dream come true. Thank you for being so flexible during the evening. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you."
